Body language. Any evidence of it?

Q - I didn’t think body language was so important in courtship. I though it
was a psychologist’s thing like dreams interpretation or something like
that but I see that knowing how to read a person's signals let you
understand what that person think and feel in that moment and this is
of great help in courtship. What I ask is: is there any evidence that
this thing works?

A - I perfectly understand your skepticism.
It's very difficult to think about something you cannot see or to
something you are not used to. Nonverbal language study is a very
serious subject teached in universities and on which many researches
and studies have been conducted.

Many athenaeums have invested millions of dollars on studies about
body language usage both between animals and between human beings. One
of the fields on which these researches have been conducted, of course,
is the interaction between opposite sex subjects, that is, courtship.

As the knowledge on this topic is extremely important for science,
there have been written many books and research papers on the subject
and, probably, reading some of these texts will help you get a better
understanding on this topic.
