What Do Women Look For in Potential Partners – Intro - 1

Which are the characteristics that women, independently from their personal preferences, consider fundamental in a man? In theory, keeping in mind the fact that there are millions of women, also excluding personal preferences, it would seem impossible to make a list of wanted characteristics on which all of them agree. We should go to each one of them with a questionnaire and then compare the answers given, hoping to have a homogeneous list on which, if not the totality, at least most of them agree.

A more practicable and less expensive alternative in terms of time and money could be that of choosing a representative sample of the various typologies of women and to perform, on this, researches and statistics. In reality, many of the answers that we need don't originate from the conscious sphere, from the rational mind, but from the biological and evolutionary psychology models inherent to female beings.

The adjective "fundamental" that we have used for describing the type of characteristics wanted by women is not casual. For fundamental, we intend essential, of which they cannot do without. From this we can understand that these traits cannot be banal aspects, that could eventually be part of personal preferences, but necessary requisites for the development of a relationship among the two people, for  procreation, and therefore, essential to transmit the woman’s genes to future generations.

However, how can a woman know about these characteristics so important? Moreover, is it possible that all women desire the same characteristics in a partner? in truth is not the rational mind of the woman that must know what are the requisites that make a partner more suitable then others for creating a lasting relationship and, ultimately, for "helping" her propagate the species through her genes, but her biological body.  It’s the matter that has an evolutionary impulse not the intellect.
