why men don't understand nonverbal signals
Q - Last weekend I’ve been to a nightclub and I’ve spent about an hour
observing people and their actions. Well, if you do this after reading
the articles of this site or some books on the subject, you see things
in a completely different way. I could see that women send lots of
signals but men really don’t see them or don’t understand them. It
makes you feel powerful knowing you see things other people don’t.
Why do men have problems with body language?
A - Does it make you feel powerful knowing how to read body language? Yes,
you are right. When we know something other people ignore we feel like
having superpowers. Knowledge is power. Why do men have problems
reading nonverbal language? That is because Nature gave them other
‘superpowers’ like physical strength and logic capacities that are more
useful to men. Nonverbal language understanding and production,
instead, is a lot more useful to women that, for biological reasons,
need it to select the best partner (and for many other tasks).
